Kurt Chasteen
In 2007, Kurt began an electrical apprenticeship that led to employment at a large residential service company in North Texas. After 2 years, he gained his Wireman’s license and began running his own truck. Soon after, he attained his Journeyman’s license, and consistently achieved top sales and Service Tech for his company. After getting married and having children, he decided to change companies to spend more time with his family.
In 2013, Kurt began employment with an electrical contractor specializing in pools and patios. While working the job sites for these projects, he was intrigued by the different designs he was involved with and decided to pivot his career in another direction. In 2014, with no design experience, he applied for a position at a well-established pool and patio company as a designer and was given the opportunity.
Throughout his time there, Kurt learned the essentials of pool design and established an excellent reputation within the community and surrounding areas. In 2019, a reputable outdoor living company asked Kurt to assist in the development of a pool division. Ready for a change, he took the offer and ran with it. There, he further developed his design and build skills with the help of great leadership and a company that focused on attention to detail and customer service. In 2023, Kurt’s success and eye for design was recognized by the Pool and Hot Tub Alliance (PHTA) with a Silver Level Award for geometric pools in an international design competition.
Striving to fulfill his potential, Kurt decided to start his own company, Craft Water Pools, and combine top level project design with personalized project management. Craft Water Pools specializes in pools and spas, water features, outdoor living, landscaping and, above all, the highest level of customer service.
